TR Almaza Bay Compound / Architecture of 6 types of Residential Homes /
The primary function of this design is to articulate a final building that is elegant in form and sustainable in nature to responds to an ever-changing environment that is continuously affected by man's intervention. To that, this design responds with a space that exudes innovation, imagination and tailored sustainable solutions that are geared towards reducing energy consumption along the course of usage.
In order to maximize views, the architectural form adapts itself to an L-shaped formula that embraces a lap pool that runs through the house. The pool section inside the house is enclosed with foldable glass partitions that retract in the summer and enclose in the winter, allowing the pool to be used in an outdoor context in the summer and a hot tub in the winter. The modularity of the pool design lends its self to adapting to an extended seasonal function that is enhanced with the placement of both indoor and outdoor and bio-ethanol fireplaces. The 2 sides of the L-shaped geometry is anchored with a glass atrium serving as an entrance-an element that relates to the anchoring nature of Almaza Bay in stance on the North Coast. All the bedrooms are set back to enjoy a more private view of the beach while also sharing the view of the hub of the house- the pool deck. Official site: almazabay.com
